Harnessing risk transfer for people and the planet.

Risk transfer refers to any mechanism—private or public, formal or informal—which shifts risk from one entity to another. It improves risk management and helps absorb large financial losses. But as risks grow, our traditional approaches are failing us.

Our team is collaborating to enable new approaches that create a sustainable, resilient, and just economy.

We created Insurance for Good so that communities and policymakers could easily access quality resources and opportunities for collaboration and innovation based on their unique needs.

We are a non-profit designed to be the hub for a growing community of practice of people and institutions in the United States working to harness risk transfer in support of social and environmental goals. We’re focused on improving equity in disaster recovery, driving investments in resilience, accelerating the energy transition, and supporting nature positive approaches.

The problem and opportunity are challenging and we’re working on it—for good.
